Wonky Vinyl Club Worthing hailed as ‘huge success’ by local Mayor

But it could have been so so different…..
It was an evening that started under the most testing of technical circumstances. Every wannabe DJ dreads a floating stylus, so to have this happen on both decks in an alien environment with the Worthing vinylerati queuing all the way to the pier would be enough to faze any crew.
But WVC came through. And the sets kept coming, eclectic as ever, be it Astrud Gilberto, Quantic, Arctic Monkeys, Basement Jaxx, Above & Beyond, Spanky Wilson, Heaven 17, The Clash or Hot Chip.
The highlight of the evening however was the re-imagining in just 20 minutes of an 8 hour gurn fest at the local legendary and sadly defunct Sterns nightclub. As Meatloaf once sang, There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
